It's time for a change.

Trying to deal with a child with Asperger's Syndrome.

1 in 150 children...

One in one hundred and fifty children are diagnosed with ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorders) That is about one child every 21 minutes. Why is it that we hear so very little about this.

I tell people that my son has Asperger's Syndrome and they look at me like I'm insane. Then I tell them he has autism and they say "oh," It's about time that people realize that the child that is throwing a tantrum or acting up, is not the fault of bad parenting. They sometimes just can't help it.

We don't take him out much even though he is the sweetest most delightful child. When he has a bad moment people are down right rude.I just needed to rant. Thanks for listening.

I'm going to be the most educated mommy in this town.

So, it's gonna cost me a fortune, but eventually I will have the most well stocked library on Asperger's Syndrome. I've started my quest to understand my child with Asperger. I ordered my first book yesterday for my older son. There is so much out there. We got the diagnosis last Thursday, and I've been online every night since then trying to find out more. Basically my brain is going to have a melt down. I don't think it can hold much more, but I will still try to cram more info in it. It' s the least a parent can do for there child. So, wish me luck in my search for knowledge to help this very special little boy.
